FAST applauds the UK government’s fight against piracy and counterfeiting |
The Federation Against Software Theft (FAST) has welcomed the latest Annual IP Crime Report findings, which has revealed the true extent of the fight against intellectual property (IP) theft.
HMRC seized over 2100 consignments containing four million items during 2009/10. The goods had a staggering estimated value of £40 million, based on the price of the genuine item.

FAST, champion of legal software use, has launched a successful online anti-piracy campaign on behalf of its member Primal Pictures, which is set to be the benchmark for future such initiatives in the UK.

New Minister for DCMS: Digital Economy Act is Here to Stay |
New Minister for Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport, Jeremy Hunt, has been reported as saying that the Digital Economy Act is here to stay; news greeted with approval from software industry body FAST.

Businesses afraid of the cloud? They're already using it... |
The Cloud Industry Forum (CIF), the industry body formed to promote
trustworthy practice within the cloud computing sector, today commented on
businesses' reluctance to invest in cloud-based services. Recent findings from
