Wibu-Systems Ltd joins software industry organisation FAST

Wibu-Systems Ltd, which provides protection for software, documents, video and audio media against unauthorised copying and tampering, access protection for PCs and web authentication, has become the latest member of the Federation Against Software Theft (FAST), who represents the UK software industry.

Wibu-Systems is joining FAST to support its campaign against the illegal use of software in UK-based organisations. In joining, Wibu-Systems is demonstrating its commitment to the drive against software piracy.

John Lovelock, Chief Executive of FAST IiS (FAST and Investors in Software), said: "FAST represents the software industry, all of whom in one way or another are touched by the issues of intellectual property theft and piracy. Wibu-Systems joins a prestigious list of FAST members who rely on FAST to fight software piracy. Our growing membership is further endorsement that FAST's experience and knowledge in all matters pertaining to the legal use of software and copyright infringements is increasingly valuable to the industry as a whole.;

;FAST has an excellent reputation for educating the market around Software License Management (SLM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) issues. Wibu-Systems Ltd has the tools and management systems to help software vendors combat software theft and to help end-users employ software in the appropriate way. By joining FAST we reach a wider audience and can help contribute to this effort,; said Marcel Hartgerink of Wibu-Systems.

Wibu-Systems are holding a series of free seminars across the UK to help software publishers understand the latest technologies available to combat illegal usage of software and reverse engineering. The company has specialized on developing software licensing, software protection and additional solutions to protect documents, access and media. Find out details of seminar dates and venues at Wibu-Systems website or check for UK dates at FAST IiS Events
